Know before the show

Arrival and Seating

Plan to arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the scheduled event start time.  This will give you time to park, find your seats and perhaps enjoy a drink before the performance.

Parking Information

 

Free parking is available along Main Street, nearby side streets or behind the theatre

 

There is an accessible parking space in front of the theatre

Ticket Policies

 

Each person, including children, must have a ticket for each performance. Click Here to purchase live theatre tickets. Children and infants under the age of five are not permitted to attend our live theatre performances. 

​

All ticket sales are final. We unable to offer refunds unless the show has been cancelled by the Carriage House Theatre or under circumstances that are approved by a theatre administrator. We are also unable to offer refunds for no-shows or late arrivals.

Exchanges: We understand that plans change. We offer ticket exchanges under the following conditions. 1. Requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled performance. 2. Exchanges are subject to availability. 3. Tickets may be exchanged for a different date of the same production only. Please call the theatre at 403-653-1000 ext. #3 to request an exchange.

Beverage and Concession Service

 

Non-alcoholic drinks and light snacks are available at the concession counters, which are located in lobby of the theatre before each performance and during intermission. This service generally opens 30 min prior to a performance.

Outside food and drinks are prohibited inside the auditorium.

Children at Performances

 

Children five years and older are welcome, however, please note that some longer or more serious productions may not be suitable for all young children, even if they meet the age requirement. No children under five including infants in arms are permitted to regular live performances.

Most live thatre shows are family-friendly, but we recommend checking specific show content before attending with younger children

​

For movies, please check the rating and consult the Alberta Film Classification age recommendations which can be found here.

​

Booster seats are available to enable children to fully experience the performance. They may be picked up at the theatre doors.

​

Communication Devices & Photography

 

Please refrain from using communication devices, cell phones and other personal organizers during all performances and movies.

​

Please refrain from taking any pictures or video during the performance. 

​

Perfumes and Scents​

 

To ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for everyone, particularly those with allergies or sensitivities, we kindly request that all patrons, performers, and staff refrain from wearing strongly scented products while on the theatre premises. This includes perfumes, colognes, and highly fragranced lotions. Please help us maintain a scent-aware space so all members of our community can enjoy the performance without experiencing discomfort or adverse reactions.

Accessibility 

Accessible Seating

The Carriage House Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Patrons with limited mobility can access the building via the front entrance. Accessible seating is available in Row M (view seating plan).​

Wheelchair patrons and their companions are required to have tickets to each performance. Please be sure to request a wheelchair accessible seat and a companion seat when purchasing tickets. Standard ticket prices apply for all performances.

The Carriage House Theatre does not provide wheelchairs to its patrons.

Accessible Parking

There is a wheelchair accessible drop off parking stall on main street just north of the theatre. 

​Service Dogs

Individuals are welcome to bring service dogs to the Carriage House Theatre. Service dogs on duty are recognized by a Service Dog Identification Card which verifies that an individual and their service dog have protected public access rights in Alberta. Service dog owners should carry their card with them at all times when in public.
